Laser Tattoo Removal/Lightening

We can not guarantee 100% removal for everyone. Full removal is possible for most, especially with dark pigments. You can expect 20-50% fading with each session scheduled at least 60 days apart.

Lightening actually goes hand in hand with tattooing. It offers better options for cover-ups so you can get the tattoo you want instead of the usual “bigger and darker” option.

Our laser technician:
Gary is a professional, he is knowledgeable, friendly, clean and thorough!

Our rates are low compared to most because removal/lightening is another service we provide to boost our tattooing not a lone revenue source, we want you to get that ideal cover-up without spending thousands of dollars to do it! This is another pro for a tattoo studio doing your laser removal, cost, as it benefits tattooing.

Therapeutic Theory:
ND: YAG Laser Cosmetic System introduces gem-adjusting Q switch which uses high energy by instant emission of laser beam to crush and remove the pigment effectively in the pathologically changed tissues. That is an explosion led by laser beam: the laser beam at the fixed wavelength enabled by the accumulated high energy can reach the pathologically changed tissues through the epidermis in a very short time (only 6 ns) to instantly crush the respective color base, then the corresponding pigment group gets swollen and outburst at last due to high energy, and part of the pigment group springs out of the human body (at shallow epidermis), and the rest (at basis tissues) pigment group will become a very small particle before being swallowed by the human cell which will be finally discharged out of the human body through lymphatic system circulation. The pigment of the pathological tissues will fade in color until it vanishes. And the surrounding normal tissues will not be ruined since they will not absorb the laser at that fixed wavelength.

Laser Tattoo Removal Post treatment skin care instructions:

You have been treated with an Nd Yag 1064/532nm Q-Switch Laser

The treated area is very delicate and should be treated gently. An antibiotic ointment has been applied to the treated area; please keep area wrapped for the next 72 hours.

To prevent any complications, please follow these care instructions:

  • Keep site moist with an antipiotic ointment such as Polysporin or Bacitracin, which is available over the counter, until irritation subsides – generally 3-4 days.
  • Do not let the area dry out or scab especially over the next 48 hours.
  • In the event that a blister forms, do not pop it, let the blister run its course.
  • After the initial 24 hours you may shower, do not scrub that area until completely healed.
  • Avoid exercise or any activity that will overheat the area over the next 24 hours.
  • You may feel discomfort for the first 24 hours. If tolerated, you may take a non-aspirin pain reliever.
  • If site feels hot and/or swollen you may ice over the course of the healing.
  • The skin should heal normally in 10-14 days.
  • Over the next 72 hours drinking plenty of water and eating a light diet will help your lymphatic system drain.
  • Contact our office immediately should you have any questions or concerns.

The tattoo will begin to look foggy; this is the beginning of the fading process that will take place over the next month. Fading is typically 20-50% with each treatment. The total fading process can take up to eight weeks. Green inks fade slower and may take up to 16 weeks to achieve maximum fading.
